As some of you may be aware there have been considerable construction works in the car park area that we usually utilise as our meeting area for our Sunday Rides. Information received recently suggests that this area will soon have a building constructed on it negating it use as a meeting area. In the interim we will continue to meet on the street in front of the previously used parking area on Jull Street.

AS FROM AUGUST 1st 2018 WE WILL NO LONGER USE THIS AREA AS OUR SUNDAY RIDE MEETING PLACE. WE WILL INSTEAD MEET AT THE CAR PARK AT THE REAR OF THE KELMSCOTT DOME located at 2808 Albany Highway Kelmscott. A map is attached below. Please discuss this with other branch members to assist with the communication process.

Please review the Ride Calendar for Sunday ride start times, if a ride is not listed for that particular day it becomes a “Decide and Ride”. That is, riders who have arrived for the Sunday ride, then decide the destination. You should arrive for a “Decide and Ride” by 8.30am for a 9.00am departure. Everybody is welcome. We are a very relaxed and friendly group at Armadale.

Saying that anyone wishing to lead or suggest a destination please call me Ray on 0427968994 or TONY. on 0419830062

Below Suggestions for new riders, Also see Branch ride Guides in documents.

One of the biggest risk factors for those new to a group is feeling the need to keep up with faster riders. Stretching your comfort zone by trying to keep up may put you at risk. You should be able to ride near the speed limit (up to 100 -110kph on open roads) but there is no need to keep up if a gap is created; TEC (Tail End Charlie) will not overtake you and the corner markers will wait until TEC comes through, Don’t panic - resist the feeling of being pressured.

Above all, don’t speed trying to catch up!
