Tony's Sunday Ride to Jennacubbine

A nice ride today, My lead first to everything! Via Wooroloo Wundowie to bakers hill for morning tea, a push and shove for shade parking and some a little close. Then Clackline rd to Toodyay where Barry opened up some horses, Fuel then on to Jennacubbine for Lunch bit costly but I enjoyed it, plus a chat with the German barmaid. Coming home via York and Beverley arvo cuppa at beverley. Well then it happened, westdale rd, at Brookton Hwy turn off home Andrew on the Vespa turned towards Brookton Ray S in pursuit, claims Vespa was doing 150k Ray S was flashing lights honking his horn (So I think at that speed Andrew was only hearing his bike revving out and no vision in his vibrating mirrors). While the rest of us patiently wait at the usual seat on brookton Hwy which Andrew failed to see when going the right way. Apart from that a great day out.

Friday Night Rides

We had our first warm weather Friday Night Ride for the year led by John Brown on the 13th, plenty more to come. The question is what was John B doing with his hand! See photo below.

About our Rides

From 1st of Aug 2018 new start location Rear carpark of Dome in Kelmscott.

Please review the Ride Calendar for Sunday ride start times, if a pre planned ride is not listed for that particular Sunday then the start time will be 9.00am for a decision on the day. Everybody is welcome. We are a very relaxed and friendly group at Armadale.

Below Suggestions for new riders, Also see Branch ride Guides in documents.

One of the biggest risk factors for those new to a group is feeling the need to keep up with faster riders. Stretching your comfort zone by trying to keep up may put you at risk. You should be able to ride near the speed limit (up to 100 -110kph on open roads) but there is no need to keep up if a gap is created; TEC (Tail End Charlie) will not overtake you and the corner markers will wait until TEC comes through, Don’t panic - resist the feeling of being pressured.

Above all, don’t speed trying to catch up!
