Standing in the carpark in Armadale there was more than one person wondering what had happened considering the 20 degrees and sunshine forecast for Sunday. It was definitely very cool as we headed down the Albany Highway and onto Roleystone before a few laps through the hills behind Kalamunda. No sunshine in sight which was a pity as the hills were very green with patches of red and brown from the various trees and would have been a lovely contrast with a blue sky! Onto Mundaring with a loop on the northern side of the Toodyay road before getting to Toodyay for a late morning tea. The placed was packed and we shivered while we waited for our coffee's etc. In fact it was so cold that a number of members decided to end the ride there and work there way home. An intrepid nine riders continued north of Toodyay and then cut across to Bindoon with the weather improving by the kilometre. In fact when we reached Bindoon Bakery, the weather could only be described as sensational. We sat outside having our lunch and coffees in splendid sunshine. Barry who had his coffee go "missing in action" at Toodyay even got one in. The group then from a suggestion from Trevor decided to check out the Nougat Factory in the Swan Valley for another coffee. The sun shone brightly as we again sat outside enjoying our last coffee for the day before departing home. Thanks to all for a great day.
