Sunday's continually changing weather forecast may have worried some but 16 bikes turned up for the ride. After Trevor's run down we headed off skirting the Perth Hills as we worked our way to the top of Welshpool Road and on to Forrestfield, Jane Brook and then up to Brigadoon before coming out onto O'Brien's Road. From there it was a leisurely ride to Gidgegannup for morning tea.
It was here that we lost a few riders who needed to get home, the majority of the group continued to follow Trevor onwards. We took the Chidlow turnoff and worked our through to Wooroloo on Old Government Road before entering the highway and rode onto Clackline where we turned off towards Spencer Brook and the roundabout way to York. The weather continued to hold and it was quite pleasant as we parked up in the main street and headed for the Bugatti Cafe. While it wasn't cold the fire inside made things very pleasant as we had our lunch.
It was decided that afternoon tea would be at the Mundaring Bakery so we headed straight down the highway and into Mundaring. There was a "Constable" on the outskirts of York operating a radar gun but being such a leisurely ride we had no problems. After taking over the outside area of the cafe and polishing off our coffee's etc. we headed home with still no rain in sight.
A very enjoyable day with some good roads covered, thanks to Trevor for putting together and leading the ride.
